Curious George Tours

Curious George Tour | Children looking at Curious GeorgeGoing to the hospital can be scary for anyone...especially kids. To make that experience less frightening, Parker Adventist Hospital offers free tours of the hospital to kids between the ages of four and seven. The tour features the lovable Curious George and begins with the reading of the classic book, Curious George Goes to the Hospital with a four-foot plush George joining the kids.


Children are able to dress up in surgical gowns, caps, shoes and masks. They also get to dress Curious George in hospital surgical bandages and assist in admitting him to the hospital. The tour group, with George in tow, visits all of the departments that George visited when he went to the hospital, including the emergency room, imaging, surgery and a patient recovery room. The children are able to touch and explore hospital equipment and sometimes even visit the helicopter pad.


We offer regularly scheduled tour dates for school, scout or other children's groups, children facing personal or family member's hospitalization and members of the general public. 


Prior Registration is required for all tours including general public dates!



  • Weekly tours for school, scout or other children's groups (ages 4 to 7) - Fridays at 10 a.m.  Due to space limitations, we request that groups include no more than 12 children. If your group is larger, we will be happy to work with you to accommodate two consecutive tours on the same day.

  • Monthly tours for the general public - Second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m.
