Parker Adventist Hospital provides a spine surgery preoperative education class to all patients scheduled for surgery. This class will help patients to better understand their surgery and what to expect during and after surgery in the hospital and the recovery process once at home.
The class covers many aspects of your procedure including information such as anatomy of the spine, post-operative nursing care in the hospital, precautions to take after the surgery, follow-up care and a demonstration by a physical and occupational therapist regarding proper body mechanics.
