Look Good Feel Better

Parker Adventist Hospital is now an official site for the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good Feel Better Program.” This is a free, national public service program that helps women cancer patients improve their appearance and self-image by teaching them hands on beauty techniques to manage the appearance side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Volunteer beauty professionals lead small groups, usually about 6 to 10 women, through practical, hands-on experience. Women learn about makeup, skin care, nail care, and ways to deal with hair loss such as with wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each woman gets a free makeup kit to use during and after the workshop.
