Cardiovascular Cath Lab
Many diagnostic tests and treatments for heart disease occur in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. Our expert cardiologists use catheters (thin, flexible tubes that travel inside blood vessels) to diagnose heart problems and also to treat many problems without the need for surgery. Interventional cardiologists can open narrowed arteries or insert stents (small wire mesh tubes) into arteries to keep them open - all without the need of surgery.
Our cardiovascular catheterization experts provide the following diagnostic and interventional cardiac services:
- Percutaneus Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump
- Stents - Drug eluting and bare metal
- Cardiac Biopsy
- Temporary and Permanent Pacemakers
- Automatic Implantable Coronary Defibrillator
- Intravascular Ultrasound
In addition to these services, we partner with Porter and Littleton Adventist Hospitals and the Centura Health network of care for procedures that are not performed here.
