    Adoptive Babycare Class

    Perspective adoptive parents learn proper care techniques and information pertinent to caring for their adopted newborn or infant. Emphasis is placed on special considerations when becoming adoptive parents, including bonding, special feeding techniques, and the unique hospital time. This class covers everything from newborn appearance and characteristics, to feeding, diapering, dressing, holding, bathing, calming, safety, growth and development, choosing a pediatrician, etc. You will be armed with “what to expect” from the moment the baby is born up to the first year of life. This class meets standards required by most adoption agencies, the state of Colorado, and a certificate of completion is issued.

    One 3-hour class

    Cost: $25/1 person; $45/2 people 

    Infant CPR/First Aid Class 

    Perspective Adoptive parents learn lifesaving skills with instruction in CPR and the relief of choking. Appropriate for parents, grandparents, and all infant caretakers. Meets standards required by most adoption agencies. Certification is not offered with this course, but a certificate of completion can be issued by contacting the Adoption Liaison.
