      Life-saving Tips

Taking these two steps can help you get the best and fastest care possible in an emergency.

    1. Complete a medication record. Include every medication, over-the-counter product (such as aspirin), vitamins, herbs and natural remedies you regularly take. Keep copies in your home, car and wallet.
    2. Program your cellphone. Record two emergency contacts under the headings of "ICE 1" and "ICE 2." ICE is the universal symbol for "in case of emergency" that emergency workers look for when rescuing a person.
